• NEW POLICY UPDATE: NJ TRANSIT Yard and Passenger (Revenue) employees now have a yearly uniform allowance of $660.00 and mix and match Yard and Revenue uniform items within one (1) uniform order.
• Yearly uniform allowance is $660.00 to be used on any combination of Yard and/or Revenue uniform items.
• Employees are eligible to purchase uniform pieces once per year, expending their allowance in one (1) total purchase.
• Multiple allowance-based uniform orders placed by the same employee throughout the year are not permitted, unless the employee is making direct payment to the Contractor.
• If the total cost of the uniform order exceeds the $660.00 allowance, the employee is responsible for paying the difference directly to the Contractor.
• Employees will not receive compensation or credit if they do not expend the full $660.00 allowance.
• Any portion of the allowance not expended in the single yearly purchase is forfeited by the employee and will remain with NJ TRANSIT.
• Yard uniform pieces are available to all conductors, regardless of classification, and are included under this unified allowance policy.
